Our Story
Local businesses are the backbone of any community – creating jobs, building supply chains and investing in their communities. Too often with the media focused on crime reporting and exposés, the positive stories about local businesses go untold. Through videos, feature stories and news, Georgia CEO provides a voice for business leaders to share their stories of growth, innovation and performance, and the valuable lessons learned through experience.
Georgia CEO is a network of local websites focused on the business communities in thirteen Georgia cities and counting. Albany CEO launched in 2010 with the idea that executives in a smaller city would welcome simple, easy-to-read daily emails that link to videos, feature stories and news releases about the local business community. The site was an overwhelming success and Valdosta CEO, which launched in 2012, confirmed the model worked. Georgia CEO expanded to Athens, Augusta, Columbus, Middle Georgia and Savannah in 2014, and Metro Atlanta in 2015. Currently more than 70,000 registered members across the state receive valuable intelligence on what business leaders are doing and thinking across Georgia CEO’s daily email newsletters and our Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook networks.
Georgia CEO tells the story of business in a completely different way. Our videos capture local business leaders explaining in their own words what it takes to be successful. Our feature stories provide profiles of companies – both large and small – and their leaders. Through these and other elements on the local web sites, Georgia CEO helps spark conversation, spread influence and promote the thought leadership that exists in every business community across the state. We are proud to be a voice for businesses both small and large in Georgia.
